• Yarn: Chunky / bulky / 12 ply.

• Construction: Knitted flat on straight needles and sewn together.

You will need

• White chunky yarn and contrast colours for the curls, edging and ties.

• Small amounts of yellow and black yarn.

• 6.5mm or 7mm straight knitting needles for the hat, depending on size, plus 6.5mm needles for the decorative pieces.

• Stitch holder, stitch markers and a sewing-up needle.

• A small amount of toy stuffing for the horn.

Tension: 13 stitches and 18 rows to 10cm over stocking stitch using 7mm needles.

This project uses knit and purl stitches, increasing, decreasing, sewing up and simple embroidery. Instructions for the knitted curls and twisted cords are included.
