Terms of Service

Last updated: 22 August 2026

These Terms of Service apply to your use of the Digi Knits website and to all purchases made through our online store.

By placing an order, you agree to these Terms of Service. Please read them carefully before purchasing.

1. About Digi Knits

2. Eligibility to purchase

You must be at least 18 years old or have the permission of a parent or legal guardian to place an order through this website.

You are responsible for ensuring that the information provided during checkout is complete and accurate.

3. Our products

Digi Knits sells downloadable digital knitting patterns in PDF format.

Unless a listing expressly states otherwise:

  • No physical product will be supplied or posted.

  • Yarn, knitting needles, buttons and other materials are not included.

  • Photographs show examples of finished items that can be made using the pattern.

  • Patterns are supplied in English.

  • Customers are responsible for checking the sizes, yarn weight, materials, equipment and skill requirements before purchasing.

Colours may appear differently depending on the screen or device being used.

4. Orders and contract formation

Product listings on this website are invitations to purchase.

When you submit an order, you are offering to purchase the selected digital product. A contract is formed when payment has been accepted and an order confirmation or download link has been issued.

We may cancel and refund an order if:

  • Payment is not authorised.

  • A product or price has been displayed incorrectly.

  • We reasonably suspect fraudulent or unauthorised activity.

  • A technical problem prevents us from supplying the purchased file.

5. Prices, payments and VAT

Prices are displayed in the currency shown on the website.

The total amount payable, including any applicable VAT or other taxes, will be shown before you complete checkout. Taxes may be calculated according to the customer’s location and applicable digital-product tax rules.

Payment must be completed using one of the payment methods available during checkout.

6. Digital delivery

Digital patterns are normally supplied shortly after payment through a download link on the order confirmation page and/or by email.

You are responsible for providing a correct email address and for checking your spam or junk folder if the delivery email does not appear.

Please download and retain a secure copy of your purchased pattern. If you experience difficulty accessing a file, contact us with your name and order number.

7. Cancellation rights

Digital patterns are supplied shortly after payment.

Where you have expressly consented to immediate digital delivery and acknowledged that your cancellation right will be lost, you lose your 14-day right to cancel once access to the digital download begins.

After digital supply has begun, orders cannot normally be cancelled, returned or exchanged because the digital product cannot be returned.

This does not affect any cancellation rights you may have before digital supply begins or any statutory rights that cannot legally be excluded.

Further information is provided in our Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.

8. Faulty, incorrect or inaccessible files

We take reasonable care to ensure that our patterns are complete, readable and accurately described.

If a PDF is corrupted, incomplete, incorrect, inaccessible or materially different from its product description, please contact us with your order number and details of the problem.

We will first provide technical assistance, a replacement file or a corrected version. If the problem cannot be resolved within a reasonable time, an appropriate price reduction or refund will be provided where required by law.

Nothing in these Terms affects your statutory rights relating to digital content that is faulty, not fit for purpose or not as described.

9. Pattern licence and permitted use

When you purchase a pattern, you receive a personal, limited, non-exclusive and non-transferable licence to use it.

You may:

  • Download the pattern to your personal devices.

  • Print reasonable copies for your own use.

  • Use the pattern to create finished items for personal, non-commercial purposes.

Unless an individual product listing expressly states otherwise, you may not:

  • Copy or reproduce the pattern for another person.

  • Share the PDF by email, messaging service, file-sharing service or social media.

  • Upload the pattern to a website, online group, cloud folder or public platform.

  • Resell, redistribute or give away the pattern.

  • Publish or reproduce the written instructions, charts, photographs or other content.

  • Translate, adapt or repackage the pattern for distribution or sale.

  • Use the pattern or finished items produced from it for commercial purposes without prior written permission.

Purchasing a pattern does not transfer ownership of its copyright or intellectual property rights.

10. Copyright and intellectual property

All original patterns, written instructions, charts, photographs, graphics, product descriptions, logos and website content are owned by Wendy Morgan, trading as Digi Knits, unless otherwise stated.

This material is protected by copyright and intellectual property laws. All rights are reserved.

Suspected unauthorised copying, sharing, resale or distribution may be reported to the relevant platform, hosting provider or payment provider, and legal action may be taken where appropriate.

11. Knitting results and customer responsibilities

Finished measurements and yarn quantities are based on the tension and materials stated in each pattern.

Individual results may vary because of differences in knitting tension, yarn choice, needle size, substitutions and finishing methods. Customers are responsible for:

  • Reading the complete pattern before beginning.

  • Knitting and measuring a tension square.

  • Selecting a suitable yarn.

  • Checking measurements and fit.

  • Using appropriate equipment and safe working methods.

Using a different yarn or failing to achieve the stated tension may change the size, appearance and yarn quantity required.

These responsibilities do not affect your rights if the supplied pattern itself is faulty or incorrect.

12. Technical requirements

Patterns are supplied as PDF files. To access them, you will need:

  • A compatible computer, tablet or mobile device.

  • Internet access to download the file.

  • Software capable of opening standard PDF documents.

Printing is optional and requires access to a suitable printer. You are responsible for checking that your device and software can open PDF files before purchasing.

13. Pattern assistance

We are happy to investigate suspected errors and clarify the wording of our patterns.

General assistance does not include individual knitting tuition, alteration of a pattern to different sizes or yarn weights, or creating a personalised version of a purchased pattern unless separately agreed.

14. Acceptable use of the website

You must not:

  • Use the website for unlawful or fraudulent purposes.

  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website or another customer’s information.

  • Introduce viruses, malicious software or harmful code.

  • Scrape, copy or systematically download website content.

  • Interfere with the website’s security or operation.

  • Use our content in a way that infringes copyright or other intellectual property rights.

15. Third-party services

Our store is hosted by Shopify and may use third-party services to process payments and deliver digital files.

Your use of those services may also be subject to the relevant provider’s terms and privacy practices. We are not responsible for temporary disruption caused by a third-party service, but we will take reasonable steps to ensure that you receive the digital product purchased.

16. Liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for fraud or any statutory consumer rights that cannot be excluded.

To the extent permitted by law, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable when the contract was formed or for business losses arising from products purchased for personal use.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms occasionally to reflect changes to our business, website or applicable law.

The Terms in force when you place your order will apply to that purchase. Material changes will not be applied retrospectively to an existing order without your agreement.

18. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of ENGLAND AND WALES / SCOTLAND / NORTHERN IRELAND.

If you are a consumer living elsewhere, you retain any mandatory consumer protections provided by the laws of your country of residence.
