Lovely pattern. Very easy to follow and quick to knit up. It’s missing the bells at the moment as I didn’t have any. I also shortened the hat and put a Pom instead of a bell the end. I added a nose and mouth.

Create a cheerful knitted Christmas elf with two different finishing options from one digital pattern.

The elf can be made as a traditional stuffed Christmas ornament or adapted into a festive cover designed to conceal a standard chocolate orange inside its rounded body. Both versions feature a tall red hat, green body, striped arms and legs, white mittens, green shoes, a knitted scarf and decorative bells.

The completed elf measures approximately 20cm tall when seated. It makes a lovely handmade Christmas decoration, table display, stocking filler or festive gift presentation.

The pieces are knitted flat on straight needles and joined together. Detailed instructions are included for the body, head, arms, legs, shoes, hat, scarf and the special chocolate-orange insert.
