Create a cosy, easy-to-wear tabard poncho for children and teenagers with this downloadable knitting pattern.

The poncho features a simple stocking-stitch body with textured moss-stitch borders, a comfortable rolled neckline and buttoned open sides. Its relaxed shape makes it perfect for layering over tops, jumpers and dresses throughout the cooler months.

Knitted using super chunky yarn and 10mm needles, this is a satisfyingly quick project. The garment is worked flat in two pieces on straight or circular needles and then joined at the shoulders and neckline.
